- Ms Nodira Aminova, Associate Protection Officer (Community-based), UNHCR

Within the framework of a joint pilot initiative Volunteerism in response to the Refugee and Migrant Situation in Europe, UN Volunteers and UNHCR conducted a mapping of refugee/volunteer organizations involved in community outreach and engagement with refugee communities in 4 pilot countries, Spain, France, Sweden and Hungary.

The overall objective of the mapping in Sweden has been to increase UNHCR’s knowledge and understanding of existing refugee/voluntary organizations working on community outreach/engagement with refugees. The collection of the empirical material for this mapping exercise has been collected through a questionnaire survey, interviews and focus group discussions.

At the Future by Design, we were proud to support UNHCR in translating survey responses into a user-friendly and easy to understand graphics. We visualized in-depth research data through a series of infographics, which later served as a foundation for the overall research study report, which outlines the research methodology, findings and considerations. Materials were developed in English and can be easily adapted to various distribution channels – offline and digital.
