THE CHALLENGE
Conceptualise the report design using graphic elements and photography to create a document that is engaging, accessible and highlights the people behind the numbers.

THE OUTCOME
Developed the layout and design to strategically support the overall report findings and considerations as well as create an executive summary that highlights key data and outcomes.

UNFPA works with governments and through partnerships in 23 East and Southern African countries. Their aim is to improve the lives of women and young people by empowering them, seeking to ensure that they enjoy universal access to reproductive health and realize their reproductive rights – including in humanitarian crises. That includes ending Child Marriage.

Child marriage, a widespread problem in many countries in East and Southern Africa, is a serious violation of girls’ human rights. It denies their right to health care, to education, to live in security and to choose when and whom they marry. Child marriage has dire consequences for girls.

Future by Design had the privledge of visualising a detailed report on Child Marriage for the organisation. By creating a key visual identity for the 58-page report and synthesizing the information into digestible pieces through visuals, colour and graphics we were able to support UNFPA ESARO in disseminating their key findings.
