Provided and shared reliable information with the public about the CTC efforts to control and end transmission of the novel coronavirus in Massachusetts, and the first large-scale coronavirus contact tracing program in the U.S.; Campaign delivered through an interactive social media campaign, and printed materials

“We are living in a difficult and unprecedented time, and it is imperative that all of us in the Commonwealth contribute to controlling the COVID-19 epidemic,” said Partners In Health CEO Dr. Sheila Davis.

Concerned about the spread of the coronavirus, Partners In Health (PIH), a global health organization, launched the Massachusetts Community Tracing Collaborative (CTC) in partnership with the State of Massachusetts in April 2020. The CTC is a key part of comprehensive efforts to control and end transmission of the novel coronavirus in Massachusetts, and the first large-scale coronavirus contact tracing program in the U.S.

Widespread testing and aggressive contact tracing have been key pillars of public health responses to infectious disease outbreaks for more than a century. Along with effective isolation and quarantine measures, contact tracing has played an important role in highly successful control programs. By tracing the contacts of COVID-19 cases, getting them into quarantine, and when necessary, testing them for infection, we can slow the spread of coronavirus.

Aware of that, Partners in Health is hiring Contact Tracers, Resource Coordinators and Case Investigators to reach out to all Massachusetts contacts of COVID patients, counsel them on testing and quarantine, refer them for testing, and connect them to necessary resources throughout their quarantine.

At Future By Design, we were proud to support Partners In Health, by designing a campaign that provided reliable information about the contact tracing program and encouraged more people to engage. Campaign materials were developed in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole, and distributed digitally on PIH social media channels. Campaign posters were designed for healthcare facilities to use and distribute.
