Saving the Lives of People Sustainably
Documenting and designing key annual achievements of the United Nations informal Interagency Task Team on Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
The informal Interagency Task Team on Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector (SPHS) was established in May 2012 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The SPHS brings together seven United Nations agencies and three global health financing institutions, committed to introducing sustainable procurement in the global health sector. Through a transparent and inclusive engagement process, and by leveraging its normative and market power, the SPHS Task Team is dedicated to lowering the environmental and social impact of its procurement, with the aim of improving human health and well-being.
With an organizational development of the initiative and continuous growth of the SPHS global network of collaborators, it has become necessary to document good practice examples in a standardized and clear manner. Design and layout of the SPHS Annual Reports ensured consistency in data analysis and visualization across the SPHS Member Agencies and Secretariat. In addition, the communication materials ensured productive inter-institutional data sharing on sustainable production, procurement, and disposal of health commodities.
